Limehouse Cut Adoption

London Waterways Projects is proud to be part of the Limehouse Cut canal adoption. The Limehouse Cut is London’s oldest canal and having just celebrated it’s 250th anniversary we have got together as part of a group of 19 organisations to adopt the canal and encourage more activity on and around it as well as organising volunteering events to help clean up the cut.

The first event organised as part of the adoption was a cleanup event attended by over 50 volunteers. London Waterways Projects took Barnet to help with transporting rubbish to skips provided by Canal and River Trust. More details about the event and future updates on the adoption can be found on the Facebook group Friend of the Cut
